Light Blue Trinity:
The Light Blue brand of bicycles was designed and hand made by JA Townsend in Cambridge.
In 2010 – some 115years after the first Light Blues – comes the Trinity 531 LE track frameset.
Designed by the great grandson of JA Townsend and produced using limited Edition Reynolds 531 tubing.

A true connoisseur’s choice, these framesets are destined to be cherished… as there will only ever be 100 made in total, and each one is number stamped.


Classic brazed lugs embrace Limited Edition Reynolds 531 tubing.
Contrasting classic graphics and the metal headbadge emphasise the 115 years of heritage that other brands can only dream about.
Hand painted gold lines around the lugs are almost a lost art form in the industry, and are another feature that exposes the Trinity’s true classic heritage.


Why go with a 1” threaded headset:
We wanted the whole Light Blue Trinity frameset to stay true to the classic beauty of the Birmingham made sleek Reynolds 531 tubeset, and so we opted to use the retro technology afforded by a small and neat 1” threaded headset and quill stem.
After all, the suitability of this technology was proven over the 100 years that it was the performance standard, and still provides the advantages of independent headset and stem settings, together with user friendly telescopic handlebar height fine tuning adjustments, plus –super neat styling with no ugly (or knee knocking) rear stem clamp bolts or stacking spacers required.
Frankly, you have to wonder why so many “modern road” frames bother to use the Mountain bike based threadless systems ?


At 1.833Kg (4lbs and 3/4oz), this classic performance steel track frame is light enough to surprise the competition… and yet still pass the latest stringent EN test standards.

Forks:
Investment cast sloping crown, brazed together with lightweight, compliant triple butted CB6 Cr-Mo curved, tapered legs, and cast safety dropouts, and of course threaded 1” steerer.
(730g in 56cm size). 45mm offset. Frame colour matched, with hand finished gold lug lining.

Headset:
Genetic Cranium: High quality classic style 1” threaded.
Polished Alloy cups with steel runners, caged bearings, O-ring waterseals and Chrome plated locknut.

Stem:
Genuine Nitto Dynamic forged alloy quill.
Polished and anodised.
